Run In Shed and Shedrow Horse Barn Construction Specifications

The Framing of Our Run In Sheds and Shed Row Barns:
The wall frame of all of our sheds is built on top of pressure treated 6x6 sill plates. The 6x6 p.t. sill plates are notched at each corner and bolted together to make a sturdy base for our sheds and barns. A steel angle with tow hook is bolted to each corner of the base to make the base of the shed sturdier and to provide for an easier shed moving.
The walls of our sheds are stick-built using rough-cut true dimensional oak lumber. The frame is nailed together with hot dipped galvanized Bostitch nails and the bottom oak plate of the wall is nailed and lagged into the shed base.
